How will EASA’s planned regulatory changes impact your business?
The most significant rulemaking activity currently undertaken by EASA is related to the simplification of Regulation (EU) No 2019/947. The primary objective of this initiative is to reduce the administrative burden on NAAs establishing a more streamlined authorisation process while enabling the reallocation of resources toward facilitating more complex and innovative medium-risk operations. The main elements of this initiative are to:
- Expand the limits of the Open category;
- Amend the Standard Scenarios (STS).
According to the EASA rulemaking process, all proposals for regulatory changes must be accompanied by an impact assessment. In order to create this impact assessment, EASA has developed a survey.
